Sometimes things happen that make very mad.
And when that happens it makes my friends sad;
I don't want to get angry, I don't want to be upset,
But that is what happens, that is how I get.

Off to University
My parents are so proud;
My scholarship was hard to get
I just screamed out loud.

I'm leaving home
Flying the nest;
I've just got to do
My very, very best.

My Mom says when she was young
All kids had little jobs;
Now they've made so many laws
And then turn and call us slobs.

I'd love to work on a saturday
I've nothing else to do;
I can't play out around here
I watch football here with you.

The telly is my way out
My world revolves round that;
Computer games as well
Running over others -splat!

I play on my computer
I should get out and about;
My Mom says it's addictive
You need fresh air get out.

She went mad when she found out
I'd baked a cake that day;
Only to discover that
It was online anyway.

So she couldn't have a slice
Because it wasn't real;
She took me to the kitchen
And made me cook a meal.

There's a giraffe in the garden
He said his name is Fred;
My Mom said he can't talk
You'd better stay in bed.

She didn't say he wasn't there
So she must be silly too;
I like giraffes a lot
But I'd better take him to the zoo

Young people seem to forget
That all of us once were young;
There's not a lot they can get up to
We can catch you with a slip of the tongue.

So watch out you young'uns
We're in front of you;
That step ahead is what gives us
The heads up on what you do.

One minute I am happy
The next I feel so sad;
My Mom says it's my hormones
I think I'm going mad.

Up and down like a yo-yo
It makes me feel so sick;
I've got spots all over too
My Mom just says don't pick!

That's easier said than done
I regret though when I look;
This stage of life is awful
And I'll write this in my book.

As I get older all the words
Come flying back to me;
All the things you said
Coming true and now I see.

The wisdom that you've shared
Whilst looking after me;
To miss the potholes in this life
Have open eyes and see.

""

Dancing at the disco
We don't groove like that no more;
That was way back when
Nineteen seventy four.

In the fields at festivals
With many tents to share;
Traipsing through the mud
Famous pop stars everywhere
