Your new baby has arrived;
We're so happy for you both
Wondering just how you've survived.

Things have at last gone well
Everything is tikkety-boo;
May your life be full of laughter now
As your new littl'un runs rings around you.

Matchsticks for your eyes
Begging letters for your mom,
Sleep deprivation does all sorts of things
Mainly walking around quite dumb.

Then those little angelic eyes
Twinkle and sparkle up at you;
All thoughts of I can't remember
Disappear right out of view.
Congratulations to the new Mom & Dad

Fingers and toes all counted
Everything is right;
I'm so glad he's turned up now
And not on the night of nights.

They say the weather will play up
So glad that's no worry now;
Just the boys out on the town
The Cup Finals still on anyhow.
