Parting can be such sweet sorrow
Thos famous words were said;
Personally it hurts to much
So we'll put that saying into bed.

Nothing sweet abut ripping out
My heart along with more;
Every cell of my inner self is shouting out
My heart and soul is sore.

To leave is not a choice
It's a must with no way out;
Doesn't matter what we do
Or how we scream and shout.

I don't like the waiting
This waiting for the end;
If only God would hurry up
And one of his angels send.

We should be thankful that we get to say
These words of farewell to each other;
As sometimes life just takes a turn
I know what I would rather.

So be gone my friend to another land
I will miss our cosy chats;
Whilst waiting for the isolation
It's a Yes, I'll look after the cats.

This journey that you're going on
One day I will follow you;
You're not alone my friend
So just you watch out for me too.

As a chapter closes in your life,
And a new one starts for you,
May your years be filled with all the things
You've been looking forward to!

Never part without loving words to think of during your absence.
It may be that you will not meet again in this life.

It's a strange word starting off with good
It hurts a lot but I don't think it should;
Not that I know what else to say
Except a cheerio - if I may!

Toodle-pip and toodle-oo
Goodbye sounds so final;
The others on a happier note
They're the ones that get my vote.

Parting is all we know of heaven
and all we need to know of hell.
Emily Dickinson

Goodbye seems such a final word
With a very clear intent;
Of never setting eyes on you
Which ever way you went.

So the time has come
To say that final word;
As I can't bring myself to stay
After all the things I've heard.
